Our energy La Soie
Description
Our energy La Soie is the largest renewable energy community in the Lyon metropolitan area. Located in Vaulx-en-Velin (69), this large-scale collective self-consumption operation, developed by SerenySun, a major player in short energy circuits, reconciles environmental, economic and social issues.
In partnership with real estate company INEA, SerenySun has solarized 3,000 m² of roof space on the Les Portes de La Soie business park. The installation comprises 1,530 photovoltaic panels with a total output of 660 kWp, producing 690 MWh of green electricity every year. This energy will cover the equivalent consumption of 155 households.
Our La Soie energy is distinguished by its inclusive approach: professionals and private individuals in the collective self-consumption zone benefit from locally-produced green energy, at a rate controlled over time, without having to invest or install any equipment. The energy community federates multiple players within a perimeter 2 km in diameter. Cirque Imagine, a key player in Vaulx-en-Velin, Tunzini MN, tenant of the Les Portes de La Soie business park, and La Nef, an ethical bank, have already joined the operation as consumers of this green energy made in La Soie.
Our La Soie energy has also received the support of the City of Vaulx-en-Velin and the Metropolis of Lyon, reinforcing its local roots. La Nef and the regional fund OSER ENR.
