Description
The PUI Grenoble Alpes, led by the Université Grenoble Alpes, is a unique collaboration of research organizations and innovation stakeholders, facilitating and intensifying innovation activities to address societal, economic, and environmental challenges.
Sector-specific offerings aim to streamline the innovation journey for companies and provide greater visibility to the expertise within the Grenoble research ecosystem. They help catalog and specify support tools for businesses, as well as key contacts who will bring innovation projects to completion.
The connection between research and energy in Grenoble dates back 150 years, with the development of hydroelectric dams. Today, the energy sector in Grenoble Alpes employs over 17,000 people, including 2,000 in research and development.
The main research areas focus on renewable energies, where the region is a leader in photovoltaics and hydrogen. The battery industry is also growing, supported by innovative institutions such as the CEA and CNRS.
