They help catalog and specify support tools for businesses, as well as key contacts who will bring innovation projects to completion.
The connection between research and energy in Grenoble dates back 150 years, with the development of hydroelectric dams. Today, the energy sector in Grenoble Alpes employs over 17,000 people, including 2,000 in research and development.
The main research areas focus on renewable energies, where the region is a leader in photovoltaics and hydrogen. The battery industry is also growing, supported by innovative institutions such as the CEA and CNRS.
