LYON METROPOLE
Lyon Metropole is a territorial authority bringing together 59 municipalities for 1.3 million inhabitants. With 9,400 employees and a 2021-2026 budget of 3.97 billion euros, it has a vast field of action ranging from solidarity, to planning, to education and culture. It is also responsible for economic development, employment and integration. It now wishes to reconcile various objectives:
- To accelerate the transformation of the economy towards models that integrate ecological transition and social justice,
- To fight against territorial inequalities and promote cooperation between territories,
- To respond to the needs of inhabitants (quality of life, social mix, etc.),
- To develop and implement a method of sustainable economic transformation, in co-construction with businesses.
