Industry / Transportation : green gas to boost decarbonization

Apr 11, 2024 | 10:30 AM - 11:15 AM

Room 2

Description

Gone are the days of fossil gas, they are now replaced by low-pollution, local, renewable green gas... that's what the industry is promising! On paper, green gas ticks all the boxes and provides concrete answers to economic and environmental challenges. Waste recovery, decarbonization of industrial processes and transport. They contribute to the emergence of a circular economy that aims to create local value while recycling, and to create jobs that cannot be relocated. Pyrogasification, power-to-gas, methanization or hydrothermal gasification: what exactly are the processes and advantages of green gas for industry and sustainable mobility? How can we green the industrial energy mix, and in particular its thermal processes? Already a reality (but still marginal) in the global energy mix, will "green gas" become one of the pillars of decarbonization? When will production costs come down and projects become mass-produced?
