For the tertiary sector, France's largest employer, decarbonising means first and foremost saving the energy consumed in its buildings. This is both an ecological and an economic lever for managers of both private and public buildings, who are particularly exposed to the risks of fluctuations in the energy markets.
The energy crisis that hit France in 2022 highlighted the potential for rapid, cost-effective action under sobriety plans. But beyond crisis management, sobriety also needs to be considered in the medium term, in line with energy renovation programmes and the objectives of the tertiary sector decree. By listening to feedback from various players in the field, we will discuss the difficulties encountered and the solutions that are emerging to ensure that energy-saving measures in this sector are properly integrated.
