Africa is a strategic territory for the future of energy, with fast-growing demand, significant renewable energy potential and a major capacity to capture CO2 thanks to its forests and ecosystems. However, development is hampered by limited infrastructure, difficult financing and regulatory frameworks still under construction. Solutions adapted to rural areas are emerging, raising the question of which model to adopt: imitation or innovation? A sustainable and inclusive energy mix must meet the needs of African countries while respecting environmental issues, particularly those related to rare earths.
