French industry must face two challenges simultaneously: that of decarbonation resulting from the commitments made by France to fight climate change and that of competitiveness, which is essential to the national objective of reindustrialising the country, as stated in the France 2030 plan. The answer lies in the mobilisation of all the players. Although manufacturers have the technologies, they sometimes lack the visibility to make the necessary investments.
