Description
Dr. Sylvie Gentier served as Director of Scientific program “Subsurface space in the energy transition” at Directorate-General of BRGM (French Geological Survey) in charge of R&D strategy and program manage (2019-2023). Previously she occupied the position of thematic manager for "Subsoil resources and uses" in the Strategy, Research and Communication Directorate.
Prior to this, she successively held positions in research, project management and scientific programs, mainly focusing on deep underground resources for energy purposes, such as underground storage (CO2, energy storage, heat storage) and geothermal energy.
