ENGIE Solutions, through its subsidiary GéoGayant, signed on December 22, 2023 with AMPERE ELECTRICITY, of the Renault Group, a contract for more than 15 years of partnership to decarbonize the Douai factory (Production of the electric Mégane, electric Renault 5 and Electric Scenic).
🤩 A first project dedicated to an industrialist and located in the Hauts-de-France region and based on low energy geothermal energy (4500m depth)!
💡💪 Energy saving:
• Elimination of 70% of gas consumption
• Decarbonization of 65% of thermal uses linked to the client’s process
• Decarbonization of 35% of thermal uses linked to workshop comfort
🔢 QQ numbers:
• Geothermal production: 112 GWhu/year RE
• 2 geothermal doublets: 18 MW each, or 36 MW
